The little filly - Don't Doubt Me-is watching from across from the field , taking in all the excitement on the track. It is difficult for her to contain herself when she sees Princess Kahl in the winners circle. Don't Doubt Me is sure she can out run Princess Kahl, or any other thoroughbred. She knows she was born to run, her hoofs are itching , and she is rarin to race. Don't Doubt me waits for those three little words to be directed her way -"They are off and running" She already see herself leaving Princess Kahl and the other horses in a trail of dust.. She never doubts her ability to outshine all contenders. The little filly envisions herself standing in the circle reserved for winners.. She holds her head high, as she brings honor to her families blood line. She gives the crowd a triumphant glance----- I told you "Don't Doubt Me!"
Drawing was created with art pencil and pastels. I then took my drawing into Paint Shop Pro, and used the flood fill tool to add images. The images used for the flood fill, are from photo of family horse Princess Kahls sweepstakes win. That winning race was ran way back in 1968 at Centenntial Race Track Denver Colorado.
I wanted my piece to convey racing from what might be a thoroughbreds point of view.
