This piece was a challenge for me being a digital artist. I wanted to make something especially for this show.

I began with a royalty copywrite free photo as my reference. Thru Bryce/Daz Studio I created a 3D model of the horse and designed it to the specifications I wanted in order to recreate the photograph. In Bryce I added my landscape views and sky views. In Jasc PSP 8, I added the water by use of a flood filter plugin tool which was not part of the original image reference.It was completed in VIrtual Painter using a Oil Paint Filter and then added a Impasto Filter on top of that. This piece was created and done in a course of over 2 months of editing.

Why I chose this image reference for my creation was because I personally enjoy solitude in my life and I wanted a piece that would communicate on a level of serenity and being at peace with yourself. WIthout happiness within..you can not be happy out. This piece is about reflection..and being at calm with oneself.
