This blue horse is painted on metalic blue paint with a solid black background. The mane was painted with an orange undercoat then metalic powder was applied. On top pf the powder swirling patterns were made with metalic ink and the horse was outline in gold ink. The idea behind this painting was to make a very ornate yet simple Trojan Horse type image. I've combined the girlish love of horses with the notion that they have become novelty creatures to make my idealized paintings. I'm pleased that my paintings have appealed to so many horse lovers. I strive to convey the essence of the horse, their beauty, nobility, power, sensitivity and grace in my paintings.
