Galactic Birth - I love the coloration and globular look of this cluster! It has a 'feel' to it that I can't describe, and it's very pleasant to view. The artwork was a result of experimenting with the program Apophysis. My original intent was to make a fractal spiral. What you see is the result of hours of experimentation with the program, tweaking its parameters and colors, and trying to bring the whole together into an artistic format. Even slight changes of the colors in Apophysis can emphasize different parts of the artwork, so getting the color parameters just right can be time consuming. The same thing is true of the settings that generate the shapes. As you can see by the end result, the program is very versatile.
