
To me, the background in this painting represents the fact that no matter what might have been seen at one time in the background, it won't be seen at all if you turn your back on Wisteria for too long........
I planted Wisteria in my back yard several years ago, and regret it to this day, but still love it, ( thus the name, ' Witeria Blues 1 ' ) no matter how many times a week I have to chop it out of something that it has grown into...It will wrap around me if I stand still too long. It may be called a vine, but it wants to be a tree....regardless, it is beautiful....
