There is nothing that captures my attention more than petals of deep deep purple, they are almost black with a tantalising velvet sheen of magenta hi-lites. "Queen of the Night" is the title of this piece and is the name of the tulip I chose to paint for this months FOTM. I really like the magical and gothic effect and deceided to make it a part of my growing " Gothic Garden " series.
