Pumpkins are my favorite squash. They come in so many different shapes, sizes and colors. I continually try to raise 'a world record' pumpkin in my garden, but have yet to discover the secret to growing one larger than 50 lbs.

I've taken the pumpkin form and turned them into original characters that I call 'Kim's Punkin' Heads.’ (I used to sell them as dolls and in painted wood crafts years ago. Maybe it's time to revisit them and bring the designs back).

In my painting, the witch's black cat has just carved a pumpkin to look like him and seems rather proud of his accomplishment since he is guarding it from errant trick or treaters.

'Cat-O-Lantern & the Witch's Black Cat' was painted on 7" x 5" canvas board using acrylic paints.
