The garden on a balmy, summer evening. A single rose. Man's best friend. (Both a little past their prime.) A reverie.

This is an experimental piece. First the canvas was layered in transparent watercolor, then texture introduced, then - when dry - it was sealed with archival varnish. The acrylic painting came next, allowing the bottom layers to show thru the acrylics.
