I am very excited to present a new series of watercolor paintings featuring soft flowing florals and nature overlaid on impressionistic geometric pattern backgrounds!
The second painting in this series is "Roses". I have always loved roses. I grown them for years, entered them in rose shows, and now they grace my new painting series featuring beautiful earth tones!
Painted with Daniel Smith watercolor paints, one pigment is , a natural treasured pigment from Brazil, Red Fuchsite. This soft, reddish dusky rose has an iridescent sheen which rises to the surface This gives the painting just the slightest bit of sparkle in spots. Also painted with a beautiful granulating brown, Burnt Tigers Eye (another natural pigment) and Q Gold, one of watercolor artists favorite pigments!
