I teach watercolor at our Art Center and I do many demos and try to work on a similar project as my students during the course of the class. I was having them draw then paint flowers and I decided it was time for me to finally give flowers a real chance in watercolor. I approached this piece as many of my students did, loose, lots of play, and basic color. Then added my own techniques to it. Honing in on the details in places, adding salt textures, and some blending of color.
