I painted this 'Plein-Air' on my deck from life. It was a struggle since the sun was moving fast, I think I settled in at noon...notice the shadows on my cute little cement girl. I try to somehow convey some sense of 'light' in my paintings, following it across the form, glowing thru the petals and making the shadows deep and rich. This was fun and I hope you enjoy seeing some of the details below. Then I dare you to say the name of the painting 'Perky Plein-Air Potted Petunias' 5 times without breaking!
