I got started on my gardening early this year and planted two big pots of pansies and they are quickly becoming one of my favorites to paint! I'm attracted to their happy shape and dramatic markings especially the yellows with dark centers. They're little bursts of color on delicate stems with crazy different leaf sizes and once the flowers fall off, the wispy stems with star-like ends continue to add character to the cluster of blooms.
