Art: Nasturtium by Artist Pamela Becker
The Nasturtium is a beautiful carefree flower that loves to spread in your garden. Use it as a garnish in your soups, breads, salads and cakes or create spicy vinegar for your kitchen! Nasturtiums come in two forms, compact and trailing. Monet loved Nasturtiums and planted them along the walkway in front of his home in Giverny.

I wanted to capture the inner beauty of this amazing flower, so I drew it with Prismacolor Premier pencil on Strathmore 100 lb. Bristol Vellum, blending orange, red and yellow hues to acheive the beautiful tones of its almost "tissue" pedals.

Art is initialed on the front and titled, signed and dated on the back.

THIS IS AN ORIGINAL not a print!

Hi, I'm Pam, and I love drawing ACEOs with color pencil. I use Prismacolor Premier which are wax based, as well as Derwent Watercolor and Lyra Rembrant Watercolor. I always use a good weight paper, usually by Strathmore, switching between watercolor type, acrylic and Bristol board, depending on the texture I'm looking for.

Thank you for viewing and I hope you enjoy my art!
