"Mother Nature" is a painting I made in 2010. I am still processing the birth of my children and also the transformation of becoming a mother with all of its beauty and challenges. The Water-Lily symbolizes birth and re-birth in many cultures and was my main focus in this painting. The small flower on the belly symbolizes the child that stays with us long after she has taken flight on her own. The flowing blue hair is water, strength in an ageless feminine form always giving- and this is how I think of Mother Nature. Enjoy~
