I was enthralled last summer, with the lovely coneflowers growing in The Oregon Garden. I took many picutures, including several with a bumble bee meandering among these regal flowers. I loved these flowers in the late stages of blooming, with thier cones arching high like crowns.
Coneflowers are also known as Echinacea and are used medicinally to boost the immune system and reduce the effects of a cold.
