This painting isn't as flash as chain lightning however was inspired by my cobber mate, Wazza, who incidently has a head on him like a beaten favourite! Baz he said, in his inimitable oker twang,...if you want to get your butt ugly paintings out there, then you are gunna have to enter a few comps. So despite being as busy as a mosquito in a nudist colony I thought i might give the Flower of the Month comp a go. The Hibiscus grows best in the tropics of Oz and my trouble and strife (the wife) reckons this one's so hot it will go off faster than a bucket of prawns in the sun. We'll see if shes right on Ebay! Painting it, I was as restless as a couple of cats stuck in a waterhole so it only took me a couple of hours to paint. Hope you enjoy and it is not too butt ugly.
