This painting was a bit of a surprise for me. I really enjoyed painting it and I am very please with the feedback so far. I normally paint more abstract fantasy, so painting a Hibiscus was going to be a challenge for me. I really wanted to enter the show so I gave it a shot. I really enjoyed painting this piece and I hope it shows in the final result. I did what I do best and that is illustrating my subjects in abstract movement. Imagine this lovely abstract Hibiscus waking up in the morning! Lovely soft early morning colours. So pure and ready to start the day. This piece is acrylic, painted on stretched canvas.
