Hellebores and folklore, what interesting companions they are!  When I'm looking for a creative spark or idea, I like to google the topic plus terms like "folklore," "symbolism," or "legends."  I skim the topics, surf the results, and let the ideas wash over me like so many waves of thought.  The hellebore search's most interesting connection was "flying ointment." Hellebores were reputed to be an ingredient in flying ointment used by witches.  Now, that intrigued my muse!  Beautiful blooms, flying, gorgeous colors...and away the muse and I flew!
