As dew falls from the fuchsia, a woodland fairy showers in dawn's first light. I have used a combination of acrylics and oils on this piece. On a black acrylic background I painted everything shades of white with white acrylic. I then painted the skin tones, hair etc of the fairy with coloured acrylics. When this was dry I proceeded to "wash" everything with layers of oils, then highlighting with white oil paint. I find using both acrylic and oil gives the painting depth. This painting is done on sturdy 170 lb canvas paper, signed and dated on the back. It will fit in the standard photograph sleeve, or can be framed on it's own.
