
Daffodils have always brought warmth to the season through their bright yellow faces. They're a sign, at least here in the midwest, of sure spring! Although I've never seen them out in the middle of restored prairie, the yellows and freshness you can find in the prairie reminds me of daffodils.
I also love how they are used in folklore illustration as hats and dresses for wee brownies or fairies. :)
