This is my second and final entry for FOTM/Butterfly Bush. I was culling and editing dozens of digitals I'd taken of butterflies and moths on a friend's butterfly bush a couple weeks ago when I realized this month's flower was the very thing I happened to be working on. So I couldn't resist picking out a couple for the show.

Shot taken in a rural area of North Carolina that is quickly succumbing to suburban sprawl. This Tiger Swallowtail was one of a "daily dozen" that frequented a huge back yard when the butterfly bushes were in full bloom.

The camera used is a very humble Fuji Finepix digital; about a $600 camera, but great reviews and decent manual options. I've entered one altered/digital effects photo, so this one I chose because I'd kept it pure other than cropping.
