I hadn't thought to upload to EBSQ any of the photos I'd taken around a butterfly bush until I saw the current Flower of the Month show.

A dear friend has two butterfly bushes planted between palm trees at the entrance to her back patio. I took dozens of photographs there this summer, and wished aloud for butterfly bushes in my own yard. I got two bushes on my birthday from my dear friend!

This piece was one of the last shots of the day as the sun was going down on me. This one Epargyreus clarus (Silver Spotted Skipper) and a Swallowtail stuck around til last call.
