Nature and animals give me a sense of peacefulness. I strive to create that peaceful fuzzy place every time I paint. My favorite material is acrylic because of its quick drying time but I love the challenge of watercolor as well. In Holding On, the wave represents the intensity, burst of energy, beauty and strength of the horses. I painted 2 different equestrians riding and mastering those forces of nature. The horse riders and the horses are outlined with ink to create an illusion of art clippings that are pasted on an underground of a surf. Very different sports and yet so similar at the same time. Equestrians are physically fit, prepared and trained to hold on to their horses.
