I am working on a series of paintings about how indulgent we are sometime to our own devise. In this painting I took candy cigarettes, almond joys and superballs to remind me that I am putting one foot in the grave(thus the foot entering the grave on the left corner-is not showing up well in this picture of it) I love sweets and I love to smoke( 1 a day) but I know I should act like a responible adult and grow up, eat health and exercise - but it does not sound like much fun to me! This is one of the first pieces I ever painted and unfortunately I varnished it with gloss varnish which makes it very difficult to photograph without a glare but wanted to put the piece in this show being that the theme fit.-Thank you for looking!
