This was one of my very first hand built pottery peices. I rolled out the clay and laid it on a plaster form to make the bowl, then attached the feet, carved in a few details on the underside and fired it. Once it was bisqued I dipped it into the glaze and fired it once more.
The way the glaze turned out, in this bowl, it reminds of the view of the moon if you were lying on the forest floor. There is just a single glaze on this bowl, and magic of the firing process gave it 'trees' around the edge, a night sky, and glorious full moon in the center. Truley serendipity at it's finest.
