"The path"

I don't usually take black and white photos, but this past Halloween, my husband and I were walking through Central Park here in New York, and I couldn't resist taking this shot.

Even though there were alot of people in the park that day (just as there are on any given day), I happened to catch a glimpse of this wonderful empty pathway, and I was mesmerized by the isolated, desolate feel it had. Where does it lead to? Could be pretty scary considering it WAS Halloween, but what the viewer doesn't see is that there were people all around, just outside the shot and it really wasn't scary at all... That's what I like about photography; you show the viewer only the portion of what YOU as the artist wish them to see. Hope you like it.
