Does this family seem familiar to you? Meet the family of dysfunction! Do you find yourself apprehensive when the holidays come around, never sure just what's going to happen, or who is going to do what, to whom? It's more common than you think! This family has come together for a traditional holiday dinner, along with a couple cats and a dog at the table. There are at least two bottles of wine visible and a few of them have martinis in their hands. Do they need to be in oblivion to deal with the experience? Priscilla is seated in the front, right, and she has on her Christmas outfit because she says it costs so darn much that she will surely get her money's worth by wearing it every day between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Chad, on the left, seems to have inherited his Grandfather's big ears.
There is a lot of detail in this painting. Please note the 'Home Sweet Home' sign and the words underneath which read, "We put the 'fun' in dysfunctional". My brother said this to me about our own family and it made me realize how we use humor to survive some of this stuff!
