Prospectus
"This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine..." And that is exactly what this show is about - creating your own light. Conceive, design, construct and illuminate a lantern. It can be as simple or as fancy as you would like. Paper, stone, wood, clay, metal, even gourds are all fair-game. The choice of materials for your lantern is entirely up to you, but it has to be artist-made rather than a pre-existing lantern that is simply embellished. You may light it any way you wish.
All entries must be three dimensional and be actual working lanterns. Please tell us what items you used to create your entry, where they came from and how you put it all together. Also include why you used what you did and what effect you wanted to achieve. As texture or other small elements may be pivotal to your piece, please include any necessary detail shots.
