In 1982, I was practicing my pencil drawing and sat down with my feet crossed in front of me and drew them. After I finished, I thought that it would be a good thing to draw or paint my feet and shoes every year, a fun way to document my artistic progress over the years. I figured that with any luck, my feet would always be there as subject matter.
Alas, I let many years elapse without keeping up with the annual project. With this month's show theme being shoes, I decided to finally reprise my shoe’s role in my artistic history. So here is the 2003 version of my shoes in the spectacular Montana valley that I live in.
