Before I started this painting, I had already completed several shoe pieces for Art & Sole, but was hoping for a more meaningful idea that reflected our world today. Then I read an article in the paper about people going about their lives, but "waiting for the other shoe to drop". The phrase speaks of terrorism and a sour economy, while fitting right in with this month's theme.
