“The longing” was inspired by the hearts endless lust for love. The injured heart in the background represents past loves, but even old wounds still bleed. The thorns that have fallen from the sky suggest a danger that is unforeseen. The heart is a vulnerable organ that can be injured again and again, but no matter the number of times ones heart is injured the lust for love never dies.
