Representation of Sloth. She holds the object of her desire, but her eyes are shut to everything around her. She reclines in the moonlight in absolute unconsciouness, and has "de-clined" any life possibilities or even the energy to be conscious. Artistic note: I had a very hard time finishing this painting. In fact, I procrastinated every step of the way even going so far as to neglect to clean brushes or my dirty brush water or to remove debris or brush hairs from the painting. I was just too lazy, and I would find any reason not to paint the painting inventing excuse after excuse. I only finished it with the realization I was acting what I was portraying and it was only hurting me to be slothful.
This painting is unstretched on professional weight duck cloth double primed canvas with ample room and edging for stretching. I would be willing to stretch this piece pre-shipment for your ease, or for shipping purposes, ship this painting rolled in a safe mailing tube.
