This sort of speaks for itself. I'm sure most of us have heard that Ebay, the great online auction monopoly, has increased seller's fees yet again, some of them increasing by 50% or more. This giant just can't be slain, so the great monopoly asks for even more money, while offering so little to self representing artists, in particular. Why would Ebay care that since they changed the search features back in April, artists CANNOT get their work seen, unless they spend $20 per listing to feature them? Hey, Ebay sees this "unfortunate" situation as extra dollar signs, while many artists kiss their online sales goodbye.
Ebay isn't the only greedy one in this picture, though. I'm greedy as well. I want to earn money, and I want exposure that only Ebay (for now) can give me. My greed feeds Ebay's greed, because even though they raise fees, I will still be listing there. A vicious cycle, indeed.
