Art: The blind man and his dog by Artist Jeff Zarb
I closed my eyes and started roaming with my pen on paper. It can be seen from this sketch that it was not easy to roam into the unknown depending only on the sense of touch. I must admit I had to open my eyes twice, even if I only drew simple characters in my usual Lowry Style. A blind person roams all his life in darkness and this sketch is a tribute to all persons who lack light and all the persons and animals who help them especially dogs. The black box around the head means the walk in darkness and into the unknown. A person can be blind not only by not seeing but also by having blindness in his soul and has no love. This is why the sketch lacks color. Just try this sketch out and imagine for some time how lucky you are to roam with your eyes open. To all persons who have special needs you are always in my heart and in my prayers!
