I did this piece as part of a triptych featuring Eve, Cain and Able, These pieces where inspired by reading "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn. In the book Quinn reinvestigates who in fact geographically and historically would be Cain and who would be Able. As the industrial age did infact begin with lighter skin Northerners vs. the Darker skinned Aboriginal people of the warmer Southern hemisphere it would imply that perhaps the mark of Cain is infact light skin. I gave cute little bunny Cain a hammer to represent the industrial age. All the framed original pieces of this series are currently for sale in my Etsy shop
