This painting is from my personal collection. Done in oils with an impasto and almost abstract styling. The thickness of the paint took well over a year to fully dry. The dynamic sea is in constant motion and its mood is constantly changing. This painting was created with thoughts of a raging storm and also the calming light reflecting the end of the turbulance. It now, fittingly, hangs on my father's wall as it reminds him of the storms at sea when he was a young Navy man on his way to Okinawa during World War II. The terrible storm eventually calmed and dad returned to his wife as well as a newborn baby girl (my sister).
