This image holds new meaning today and evokes so much emotion, maybe more than prior to 9-11. Questions about Liberty and Death come to mind.

Something compelled me to work very hard past huge obstacles to create this image in 1990. Little did I know what lay ahead for this landmark and the people that filled it. May we never forget.

This work started on color film and was then scanned, desaturated printed as monochrome and then colored pencil was used to color the statue. Thank you for viewing this piece!
