What could be greener than springtime on the coast of Virginia? This oil was done at one of my very favorite places to paint Plein Air.... the wildlife preserve of Assateague Island , Virginia.. I love being able to clearly see and create the depth in these marsh landscapes. The warm values in the foreground and the cool tones in the background make the landscape almost paint itself! Ok, maybe not... but the beauty of the location makes it easy for me....
