Art: Mysterious Creature by Artist Pamela Bevelhymer

This picture was taken in Sintra, Portugal. The creature which was on a castle in Sintra, Portugal looks very mysterious and interesting. What is it? What is it doing? Who is it supposed to be?

This started off as a photograph and then I added special effects using Photoshop, Lightroom and Pixel Bender.
