"On the 13th day of Xmas, my true love sent to me.......Wall Streeeeeet greed, 12 lords leaping" (oh! I wonder why) etc,etc. Unfortunately Wall Street struck a deadly blow to Xmas this year. Storm clouds had been forming since August in 07, however, not many noticed until early 2008. The effect on the world economies has been devastating, making it increasingly harder for families to enjoy their way of life. Still today, the storm clouds grow in intensity. A worrying time for all. This painting takes a humorous look at the calamity, caused by loose lending practices, lack of oversight and of course, outright greed. The work was painted using acrylics on 200 gram drawing paper. It measures 300mm x 250mm.
