Sometimes when we watch the news we can get really down with the state things are in. But we forget that yes, the economy is bad, but really our needs are pretty simple. We need a roof over our heads, food to eat, clothes to wear and good friends to help us get by.

I tried something completely new with this painting. My husband has a machine that carves into wood--a CNC Router or "The Robot" as my kids reverently call it. :)

So we carved the words into the wood before I did the painting. Then after the painting was complete I went in with black ink to fill in the letter. I LOVE the final result! The lettering adds so much to this fun painting.

This fun painting would make a lovely housewarming or wedding gift. It would look be so fun hanging in an entry way or living room, don't you think?
