- Stone Skull The Scream
This stone was found on a beach in Santa Barbara, California. I immediately recognized its natural, strong features and exaggerated expression. The stone itself is about 8 inches high. This is one of my found "ocean works" discovered on my many ocean walks. These "creatures" are always with me, and have become part of my personal "mythology." I took this one off the shelf today and took this close up look. I have even written a series of poems that feature their inscrutable faces!
