Like other artists on ebsq, I have worked in more than one medium. For many years, I did quilted wall hangings exclusively--going from working very large to what I now do which is drawing in scratchboard and working pretty small. This has been a difficult transformation and much of it done unwillingly. This wall mural/hanging was a commissioned piece for a corporate office in Los Angeles. I hand dyed the cotton and silk fabrics, assembled the design and quilted it on an old Singer heavy duty sewing machine that I converted to a quilting machine. Many hours were involved in this piece and it looked great when hung. I almost forgot about it but found the slide and hope others will enjoy looking at it too. Sometimes I can't believe I worked that big. I must be getting old.
