This monotype was created in response to my interest in the ordinary becoming something more. Old pop bottles become lovely transmitters of light and color as well as everyday items and simple vases for flowers. This monotype was printed on an etching press using water-based ink and watercolor pencils and was enhanced with colored pencils and pastels after printing. The ghost image left on the plate after printing was used as the base for the next monotype which is similar, but can never be an exact duplicate.
