My aunt and uncle were visiting recently from Louisiana, and they were showing me some photos from a family get together. In amongst the photos was one of a closeup of some grapefruit hanging on a tree, I imagine from one of my cousins or my aunts yard. She flipped by it quickly, sort of embarressed that she had taken it. The color wasn't very good and I barely got a glimpse, but I wanted to stop her and ask if I could see it again, telling her the shapes of the grapefruit and the patterns of the leaves would make a lovely painting. I didn't, but I didn't forget about it either. So here is my interpretation of what I remembered, along with one of teapots, a contemporary clay pot purchased a few years ago at a local yard sale.
