This is my entry for Nibblefest Monochrome PURPLE. In the still life is a glass elephant and swarovski Diamond collection vase that I bought in Poland last month. This elephant immediately caught my eye and I knew how beautiful he'd look in a still. To the still life I used an industrial strength glue and mounted 5mmx7mm Amethyst gems inside three of the flowers.. surrounded by black mica flakes and a thin line of irridescent gold paint to help the amethyst really pop! Even though the stones seem very sturdy on there.. Care must be taken when handling.. This is the second piece of art that i've mounted gems to and have plans for more.. so keep watching!
