I've always enjoyed spiritual symbols in art and religion. There are so many of them that seem to resonate with the soul. In this case, I've worked with the Christian Cross. It has a fascinating history. This painting contains millenium old cross styles but can also be considered contemporary abstract modern.
The crosses have a lot of texture, the small ones are quite raised and the largest one is also raised and appears a bit like precious stone or marble with Metallic highlights. This piece comes from series of cross paintings.
