Art: Aum Hindu symbol 3 ATC's (sold) by Artist PJ Gorman
These are 3 original paintings of the Hindu symbol, Aum, also written "Om" and called pranava, One of the most important Hindu symbols. Its prolonged intonation is associated with the primeval sound through which the universe was created. It is thought to contain all things. It consists of three syllables — a-u-m — which are sounded progressively from the throat to the lips. The three sounds are considered to symbolise many items, but perhaps most importantly the three states of consciousness – waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. The entire symbol represents the fourth state, which is the awareness of one's own spiritual identity. Aum is the most important mula (root) mantra and is thus chanted at the beginning of many prayers, mantras, and rituals My intent is to paint to live, to help, and to inspire others. This artwork was created on 3 seperate spring days in 2008 Please look for more of these to be offered shortly. Thank you. This is a minature original acrylic painting, known as an Artist Trading Card or ATC, They are also referred to as ACEO's (Art Card Editions and Originals) These are miniature collectable paintings the size of traditional trading cards...3.5 x 2.5 inches in size. This is an affordable and great way to collect a wide range of original art . Great to collect or trade. Each painting is signed and dated on the back
