- Hand and Scissors
This piece was created for my Drawing I class --- the assignment was to draw our hand with a pair of scissors. Most of the other students drew a hand holding scissors as if ready to cut some paper. I chose this pose. My husband thinks there should be blood dripping off the end of the scissors, although I can't imagine why! I enjoyed working on this piece very much: the texture of the hand, the rounded fleshy part of the palm, the hint of veins beneath the wrist were all challenging to me. I am happy with the way it turned out... not just because of the quirkiness of the pose, but I'm happy with the work I did to bring my hand to life.
