- The Butterfly Pitch
Slugger is on the pitcher's mound this week! He has invented a new move, "the butterfly pitch"! Highly distracted though, this guy gets off on the wrong foot! This was an entertaining piece to sculpt, not to mention one of my bigger challenges! It was carefully sculpted in polymer clay, painted in detail with acrylics and given a protective finish. My butterflies are a result of many hours, much thought and sheer determination that they will be the only ones of their kind that you will see on ebay or anywhere esle! They are totally original, realistic, flexible and durable, the antennae were graciously donated by my horse, Star, she was eager to make this contribution! This Monarch is permantently mounted to the baseball. The underside of the sculpture is felt lined for that final finishing touch. This would make a fun addition to your "Team Corgi" collection!
